Marathons for Moms is a fundraising effort from the Pregnancy Decision Health Centers located in Columbus, Ohio and offered to Relationships Under Construction. Relationships Under Construction is a relationship and marriage education program that many pregnancy centers offer to their clients and to students in public and private schools. Since 1998, abstinence programs in Ohio have seen a 36% drop in the teen birth rate and a 35% drop in the teen abortion rate which calculates to saving Ohio taxpayers over $300,000.00 each year.
 

Participants for the Marathons for Moms agree to make a good faith effort to raise $1310 for Relationships Under Construction by running a race of their choice and working on getting pledges. The suggestion is that if a participant can get 100 sponsors to pledge $1 for each mile of a half-marathon or $13.10, they will be able to raise the $1310.
 

Participants of Marathons for Moms receive a t-shirt to wear in their race, a water bottle, wristband, tote bag, and fundraising supplies. They are also given their own web page to assist in their fundraising efforts. Runners can form teams to help raise the $1310 if there is a group who feel they would not be able to complete a half-marathon or won't be able to raise the full amount on their own.
